Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

Review of the i7 8700K. For a long time, of course, I planned to buy it for myself to replace my old i7 4770k, to be honest, I expected that there would be a performance increase, but so much! It can take 4.8-5 Ghz without any problems, but you need a good dropsy or a tower cooler. You will certainly feel the full advantage in games and software that can work with more than four cores. Below I attach screenshots of the test performed in Far Cry 5 on two almost identical systems (except for the…

Pros
  • -High performance -Six cores, twelve threads - 14++nm process technology - Accelerates very well - Solid built-in graphics core - 3 year warranty on BOX -BOX version comes without cooler
Cons
  • - No solder under the lid

The performance characteristics of my PC are as follows: - Motherboard GigaByte Z370P D3 - Video card GigaByte GeForce RTX 2080 Gaming 1830Mhz PCI-E 3.0 8192Mb 14000Mhz 256 bit HDMI 3xDP - SSD 256Gb - Samsung 860 PRO MZ-76P256BW - HDD for 500 GB in the appendage from the previous computer and PSU for 750w from there - RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 DIMM 2666MHz PC4-21300 CL16 - 16Gb KIT (2x8Gb) - Cooler DeepCool Gammaxx GT - Well, respectively, this stone. I think it's important to point it…

Pros
  • Performance, flexibility, potential and ease of overclocking.
Cons
  • Heat dissipation. But now it's conditional. It's hard to compare with anything. Before that, there was a computer that was bought in 2022, so I decided to completely ate the system. To say that I was delighted with what I saw on the monitor screen (by the way, also new - Samsung C24FG70 24 ", if anyone is interested) - to say nothing. Wolfenstein, Destiny 2, GTA 5 - stunning performance. Everything was well, until I started taking measurements. At first, I was worried about the temperature of the video card: it was very hot to the touch. But having installed GPU-Z and looking at the indicators, he calmed down: everything was fine, the temperature did not rise above 65 degrees. But then I launched GTA 5 - and the CPU temperature already alarmed me - it reached 98 degrees there, and sometimes jumped up to 100 degrees in moments. At the same time, in other games, the processor temperature did not rise above 70 degrees, which suited me. I must immediately make a reservation, at that time I had a different cooler - for 500 - because a friend of mine, who "ate the dog" on assembling powerful systems, convinced me that you don't have to bother with cooling on the new generation. Well, I believed As a result, I installed DeepCool Gammaxx GT, applied normal thermal paste. I also bought a new system unit to the heap with 4 fans. I would never have thought that all this would change the picture so much: in the same GTA, now the temperature does not rise above 75 degrees, but on average it stays around 69 degrees. In quiet mode - no higher than 41 degrees. I will confirm the words about temperature fluctuations: it heats up and cools down quickly. The summary is short - if you decide to buy this processor, do not skimp on good cooling. ! In the comments, I ated the information and gave recommendations for action. They will be useful to those who do not bother with overclocking: because there are fools in this stone already with a margin. Read, do not be lazy. I think the information will help dispel the stereotype about the hot nature of this processor)

Overall good, but expected more.

Where to start, probably, with the Intel sect and incredibly strong informational pressure, comparable to skillful propaganda. Friends convinced that Intel is better in everything, dozens of read and viewed reviews and comparisons unanimously broadcast a significant advantage of the i7-8700 over the Ryzen 5 2600, it was between them that I chose. The difference in numbers is up to 20% increase in gaming performance over Ryzen, but if you have one of the top video cards, you won’t notice this by

Pros
  • (Review about i7-8700) 1. 6 cores and 12 threads - well, such a merit, with reservations. Such a structure should already be instilled as a norm with a margin for the future. Everyone knows that if it were not for AMD, the world would not see 6 cores on Intel. 2. There will be one of the best FPS indicators in games. 3. It will be good for those users who do not delve into the work of their hardware, do not monitor anything, and in general, believe in the unconditional technological superiority of Intel over AMD. I bought it, stuck it in and use it - for such users, Windows 10 is the best axis in the world.
Cons
  • 1. Thermal paste under the cover, which is why the processor is hot, essentially hot. It is cooled by Arctic Cooling Freezer 33, this should be more than enough for a non-overclocked processor, but in reality it turns out like this: in games 70-75g, in tests up to 86g. I turned off the power savers for stable 4.3GHz, and got up to 85g in games, up to 94g in tests. 2. Cheats with frequency and voltage when the power savers are on in order to keep within the framework of a reasonable heat pack. This is not about idle state and 2D use, but about tests and games where stable performance is needed. Enabling the maximum power limit in the motherboard makes it possible to observe a picture of such cheating less often, but does not eradicate the problem, the processor still tries to “take another break”. 3. Price. I took the BOX version for 22500 in early March, but I still think this price is not reasonable, more details in the comments. 4. Intel policy is upsetting. Processors with "K" are pure marketing, what prevents the corporation from unlocking the multiplier for all models, like AMD does? – only greedy greed. This policy is sickening. Will disappoint users who want to customize it for themselves.

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

In a GTA5 game paired with an NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics card (everything at max. 1920x1080), the load is about 30%. My temperature did not rise above 60 degrees (Zalman CNPS10X OPTIMA cooler, the case is well ventilated). In the BIOS, I immediately disabled Intel Speed Step and Intel Speed Shift, otherwise the frequency dropped to 800MHz! Without them, it keeps around 4.3GHz. By the way, what Intel writes 4.6GHz in Turbo-mode is the frequency of only one first core! It is a pity that…

Pros
  • + cheaper than the K-version by almost 5000r + for BOX-version 36 months warranty. + regular overclocking in Turbo-mode up to 4.6GHz + 6 cores 12 threads, high performance
Cons
  • - low nominal frequency 3.2GHz - no manual overclocking

Again, "chewing gum" instead of solder under the lid! With heat dissipation of 65W and normal implementation of heat dissipation UNDER the cover - these processors could work with a boxed aluminum radiator, and so . we have what we have - we have to install towers to somehow compensate for the "Intel failure" in heat dissipation. Pros: Excellent performance in both games and software, The best option from Intel in price up to 30,000. I don’t see the point in “K”, because the overpayment is not…

cpu intel core i7-8700 s1151v2 oem 3.2g cm8068403358316s r3qs in. I took oem for 24800. (November 2022), the lowest price I found. Prots as prots. I don't work very hard. I can't describe any of the details. On another computer is I7-7700k. This one, 8700, heats up under my loads by 3-5 degrees above (at the peak 70 degrees are noticed). I put a Crown cm-5 cooler on it, all socket. Works on 750 watts, and with a GForce RTX2070 graphics card. Basically everything is warm from her. Under load it…

Pros
  • Intel
Cons
  • Expensive

For half a year everything was fine, it worked in normal mode, with the Gigabyte AORUS z370 Gaming 5 motherboard, and Palit GeForce GTX 1080TI JetStream Edition 11Gb, and 16gb Patriot Viper 4, Mhz was cooled by Enermax Liqmax II 240, under load the temperature reached 78 degrees in tests, in games about 65 degrees. As you understand, the assembly of the PC is top-notch, all this took a huge amount of money, for that kind of money everything should work like clockwork. In general, the percentage

Pros
  • Excellent CPU performance in 100++ fps gaming, rendering, and just multi-threading. Allows you to run a bunch of applications and nothing slows down or freezes.
Cons
  • Extremely low reliability, and apparently a large percentage of marriage. No warranty of any kind for OEM deliveries.

Review of 8700 (without K). I changed my AMD fx-8320 and saw what a performance boost it gave for my GTX 970. The average fps in Assassin's Creed Origins went up from 50 to 80, a run in the game benchmark gave an increase from 5588 to 9977 on the same settings. In pubg, vidyaha began to hit the FPS ceiling of 144, although before that the FPS did not even reach a hundred. It has become noticeably more comfortable to play, I often noticed before that you don’t change the graphics settings, but…

Pros
  • Nice performance boost. 6/12
Cons
  • When fully loaded in Linx 0.91 and a voltage of 1.2V, it warms up to 82 degrees, and this is with the IH-4800 installed and a case with good cooling. Thermal paste under the cover.

Great device - highly recommend

Thank goodness AMD is back in the game. For years the i7 line was something of a no-brainer and in my opinion the overclocked i5 was the best option for gaming. But AMD, putting pressure on Intel, has now given us two more physical cores on the i7 and it's a great device. I'm not an overclocker so didn't get the K version but the 8700 is a great machine. It runs noticeably cooler than the 7700 on my friends PC (the transistor spacing is wider on the 8700, resulting in better thermal…

Big! CPU Processors

I've been building PCs for over 24 years, I built a Ryzen (1700x) last summer and a new Intel PC this summer. I give Intel the edge because if you can get that, I highly recommend getting the ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING LGA1151. The difference is that every month I build a lot of PCs for all kinds of people, but the main difference is that AMD Ryzen is very weak with RAM and *overclocking, while Intel is not, and you can use many, many different models and Get 3200MHz. I have g.skill and…

5.1GHz stable for a year

My 8700k ran less than 20 days for a whole year at 5.1GHz, vCore 1.38V. Paired with Strix z370e board, 16GB 3000MHz DDR4, Strix 1080 to December when I bought the Strix 2080. I use a Samsung Evo SSD for my OS, everything else on WD Black drives (games too). At max settings 1440p 16:9 I consistently get over 100fps and tempos with h100iv2 and Arctic Silver 5 (Legacy Paste) never get past the mid 60s when gaming and the highest I've ever seen when launching Cinebench, 3DMark or even Aida64 have…

my best cpu for computers and accessories

i am a bit biased as i love intel i grew up on field trips in portland or HQ and became a computer engineer when i first learned assembler code which was the beauty of architecture immediately obvious. The new generation of chips doesn't add too much material and is more like a product meant to fill a gap until 10nm chips are ready for consumers. That means there isn't a huge leap over the 7th gen chips in terms of features, but it seems to me that stability and performance have improved a lot.
