It worked like a charm!

Saved on a trip to Wally World and the cost of another can of 134a I already have, a box/case of A/C refrigerant. I was surprised by the self-closing jar and needed an adapter to connect to my sensors. It worked great between my faucet and the refrigerant tanks. I even paid a premium to have this tool shipped and received same day.

Pros
  • A/C tools and equipment
Cons
  • Not sure

Not sure I like that they are plastic

But other than that they look ok. The center of the cap has a spring-loaded center section that moves the center pin down into the refrigerant tank when the top valve or hose assembly is installed, opening the tank valve. The upper male part is plastic and smooth, the inner female part is brass. I suspect that the male top will not stand up to many uses. It's too easy to mistake the thread from the outside.

Pros
  • A/C line repair tools
Cons
  • No automatic

Use Properly!: Air Conditioning Line Repair Tools

Do not overtighten any connections. It is best to apply some oil to the rubber seal on the side of the can before twisting. There is already enough oil at your faucet. After reading the reviews I just put two and two together. You get a small loss when you turn on the faucet. Poorly processed threads can also cause problems. Handle with care and do not use force, dingii (plural of "dingus").
