I bought this tool to fix my air conditioner. He was loud and not cool. This tool made it so easy. Now after the replacement, my air conditioner works perfectly and cools perfectly.

I have always used universal snap ring pliers which can change the tip depending on the conditions. They always seemed to fail in more difficult areas. They work great and are worth the money.

I didn't know what a locking ring was until one came loose from a rotating weather vane which I cleaned of rust. I had to squeeze the ring to put it back in. Curved pliers worked great. Reduce, reuse, recycle and repair.

Plier tips broke when I first used them to remove the locking ring. Upon examining the rest of the pliers, another pair had a badly damaged tip and appeared to have been placed in packaging that was already damaged at the factory. Save money and buy a higher quality American made tool kit instead. Looks great, but not even functional.

I cannot comment on the durability as I have just received these tips but I am very disappointed with their workmanship. The main feature you buy them for is the very poor quality tips. In each pair, one tip has a different diameter than the other. So compared to imported Chinese junk I have to fix what should have been right from the start.

Had to remove some snap rings from the bearing bracket on an old 20hp DC motor. (replacing the bearings). The pliers removed the ring with no problem, it took several attempts (56 attempts), but it was done in a reasonable amount of time. , it's good practice to slide a washer or knife under the rings as they're being squeezed to prevent them from falling back when the pliers inevitably slip out of the pinholes.

I need snap ring pliers to replace snap rings on 5/16" and 1/4" shafts. However, the tip of the pliers will not fit into the snap ring holes, even with a 5/8" snap ring. I have included a photo showing the snap rings and plier tips. I may need to return this order and look for narrow tip pliers to at least to fit a 1/4" lockring. Vendors MUST state what sizes of locking rings their pliers accept. I'm really disappointed.

Bought to replace the clutch on my truck. I really needed direct outer ones, but I got one set because I might need others at some point. good case. You looked cute until you really started looking closely. 1 tips were bent. The 2 peaks were not exactly the same size. 3 tips are very thin long. So it turned out to remove 2 retaining rings.
