Suitable for hobby chemists

Exactly as described, good quality. There isn't a raised center pivot band like some agitators but that wasn't a problem for me and the product information doesn't indicate that this band is present - just FYI if that's important to you.

Pros
  • Agitators, mixers and accessories
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Good variety but not strong hold

Good range but not very strong. If I run the agitator faster, the rod loses its grip on the agitator and won't return to the magnet. It will run slower, but don't expect a good funnel. As soon as it touches the pole, it flies away.

Pros
  • Agitators
Cons
  • Expensive

Lots of options. Pretty durable. Magnetic as expected.

These are PTFE coated magnetic stirrers. You're doing a pretty good job. I would highly recommend them if you are doing something where you need it. Inexpensive and definitely good quality. Mine had such a GOOD thick coating that one of them fell down the garbage chute and made an awful noise when I turned it on. After extraction I saw a fairly severe cut on the coating but not complete. I use mine to eat, so one is in the trash (better safe than sorry), but if you're doing something else it…

Pros
  • Laboratory Instruments and Equipment
Cons
  • No Instructions
