If the buyer recognizes the model upon opening the box, it is obvious that the description given here is purely indicative. Mine came the wrong size. The replacement was a completely different model, now the electrician has to replace the entire fan. The installation costs more than the product. Also, the new cover is chrome instead of silver. My tenant doesn't like chrome. Received 42 inches from another seller with no incident and it's great!

This product arrived safely but the instructions for installation were the worst instructions I have ever seen in my life. They told you next to nothing. (you don't usually need much but this fan is very different from most others) Luckily I've flipped houses and installed hundreds of ceiling fans for 30 years and finally included 1 small sheet of instructions (if you want them a call) and went strictly by intuition and finally after 8 hours it was installed and working perfectly. The light is not "dimmable" as advertised, but they think (after consulting the seller) that the colors of the light are = dimmable . To be clear, the LEDs can go from super white to bluish white to soft white (the only reasonable option unless you're installing this in a lab and need that bright white light). A very nice fan. Whisper quiet and bright light. The instructions were really terrible. Here are the simplified instructions for beginners like us: 1. Install the bracket on the ceiling box.2. Insert the black box "Fan Controller" into the bracket. We found this in the remote AFTER we thought we'd plugged everything in.3. Connect all cables.4. First of all, the seller was very quick to respond to my emails. And after installing one of the two 48 inch fans I bought it works fine. However, there are some serious caveats. First, the instructions that came with the 1st fan are completely out of date regarding the installation of the lighting kit. It was not mentioned that the LED lamp is attached with magnets.
