Good product but not a big gap between the bottom and the magnetic head

This is a good product, it keeps the door open and prevents it from hitting the wall. There isn't much clearance between the part that goes to the floor and the part that attaches to the door. If you have floor mats or floor mats that need to be removed from the door, you cannot use them with this magnetic door stopper.

DO NOT BUY TO HOLD DOOR OPEN

This is a closed door safety stop, not an open door stopper/holder. This product is designed to be installed INSIDE an inward opening exterior door and kept CLOSED. It cannot be installed so that an inward opening exterior door remains OPEN. And the latch can't extend far enough to get at the latch as others have reported. This is terribly bad design.

Note for self-closing doors with spring hinges

The doorstop is easy to align and comes with two adhesive pads for the stopper and magnet. The door I wanted to use this on is the door between my garage and kitchen that has spring hinges to automatically close the door. The magnet holding the door open could not overcome the force of the spring hinges holding the door open. When I reduced the tension on the springs to a level where the magnet would hold the door open, there wasn't enough spring tension to force the door to close completely.
