It would be perfect. if it worked.

Ultimately, it's impossible to tell which port is active because the corresponding LEDs on some switch don't work or aren't there. I placed a flashlight on the smoke-colored clear plastic on the front but I don't see any LEDs, but in manual mode they should light up when a new port is selected. They don't. 99% of the time I only leave one port active, but every once in a while the hub decides to suddenly stop working and I have to run the printer cable straight to my PC, defeating the reason…

Pros
  • Beautiful design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

IT DOESN'T WORK on computer components

I BUY ONE IT DON'T WORK. I CALL THE SERVICE SERVICE AND REPLACED IT, THE SECOND STOPS WORKING. THE FIRST TIME YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS RESPONSIBLE BUT THE SECOND TIME I CANNOT FIND A CALLER.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

I like electronics

I bought this device to remove printing from my home network which is connected to the internet. I don't like the idea of my Chinese Canon wireless (or wired) printer being able to ship my stuff home without my permission! You can at least complicate things with this little gem. I've spent too much time learning how to turn off wireless printing on Canon LBP6230dw printer. Finally, I just rebooted the printer CD and chose "Wired" instead of "Wireless" ("Wired" and "USB" work pretty well…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Not automatically! for computers and accessories

NOT AUTOMATIC! It's very convenient! You need to click the button to change the computer port. It's the exact opposite of an automatic. I can see the app, but it's incorrectly advertised as another app.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Available in black only

Just wanting to say on my own (no Revain tips) how good the previous model is which I've been using for a number of years and the new model works just as well and is properly designed. I actually bought another model from the same company first because it was $10 cheaper and I didn't like it. There's nothing worse than not knowing if the printer will work with the computer you're using. It is very easy to find out which port is active and which is not.

They worked great at first, but now I can't even get the .

How did I miss all the reviews on this product? I actually bought 2 of these and am trying to run 3 printers on each of them. They worked great initially, but now I can't even get them to work manually. (We've only had them 2 months) I had to remove the printer and install a new printer on one of them. To be honest I think it might be Windows 10. Disappointing because they are not cheap. We will come back to the wireless connection or to the connection of any computer when we need it.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Style 90

DO NOT believe what is written on the listing and on the packaging; This product does NOT automatically select the computer to print; need to press the corresponding computer on the control box! So how does it work automatically? When do you need to MANUALLY select the computer input for the printer?

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • There are problems

IOGEAR 4-Port USB 2.0 Automatic Printer Switch

IOGEAR 4-Port USB 2.0 Automatic Printer Switch GUB431 (Black) . The automatic switch is advertised as working with Mac 10.3.9 or later (both on the box and on the website). Before purchasing, I checked their website to see if the switch would work with a Mac. I then bought a switch based on those system requirements and found that the "automatic" part doesn't work on a Mac with software below 10.5 because the software won't load. What they omit from their "requirements" is that the switch only…

Pros
  • Supports USB 2.0 up to 480 Mbit/s and USB 1.1 backwards compatible
Cons
  • boring packaging

Disgusting beep, confusing LEDs spoil an otherwise good product.

First, the switch works. It's positioned as a switch for printers, but should work with many USB devices. I plug a USB into it and connect a mouse, keyboard and other USB devices to the hub. This allows me to use the same mouse and keyboard on multiple computers. It works, but every time you press the button to switch to another computer, the switch makes a horrible, loud, obnoxious beep that's incredibly annoying to everyone around me. This makes it completely unusable. I've noticed from other

Pros
  • The Switch Lock feature prevents other users from switching the USB device and ensures consistent data access.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Auto switching isn't all it should be on this beast

We have three of these switches connected to three clusters of Windows 7 Pro PCs. Each PC cluster uses an HP 5550 Laser Jet through a switch. Like many other 1 star reviewers, I found that the auto toggle feature didn't work most of the time. The most common errors were print jobs stuck in queues because the printer showed offline or the printer crashed while processing the job. We had to constantly unplug printers to reset them. No software or switch fiddling seemed to make a difference. We…
