No somewhere around 300 feet, just a normal range, maybe 30 feet.

This only has a typical range, I bought it because it was advertised up to 300ft but it doesn't go further than other Bluetooth devices so it's the Extra charge not worth money, in fact it's a lot more than other devices with no benefits that I can identify. I raised it about 5 feet on the stem to give it the perfect amount of headroom. for RF, which brought no improvement. I bought this because my IOGEAR USB 2.1 GBU421 bluetooth micro adapter was only 30ft at work when there were intermediateโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Higher data rate - up to 2.1Mbps
Cons
  • For old

As described: USB Network Adapter

This is a really great bluetooth dongle. I made the mistake of buying a "modern 4.0" media connection without knowing it was a Class 2 device. The class differentiates Bluetooth devices according to distance, with class 1 naturally having the greatest range. The latest Bluetooth device barely had a 3 foot range. It has a range of 30 feet (it has 100, most Bluetooth receivers have a REAL range of about 1/3 of what they say). This is also the same price as the medialink "4.0 super modern" keyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Faster transfer rates up to 2.1Mbps
Cons
  • No Insurance

Worked like a dream. I wish everything was that easy!

I have a Bluetooth enabled Mac iBook and ever since I got a Bluetooth enabled HP all-in-one printer I wanted to know if it's even possible to print wirelessly between Macs and HP platforms. HP has their own proprietary Bluetooth connection, which they promote (and give as little information as possible); This thing got pretty bad reviews, so I was dying to try a Bluetooth adapter that at least a few people would like. But as you might expect, nobody makes any of this SIMPLE. What is theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Conforms to subspec 1.1
Cons
  • Nothing here

Great value for money, works pretty well.

I recently decided to set up a wireless audio network between my computer and two stereo systems. I used a small FM stereo transmitter and then set it up on my receivers to broadcast music around the house. Not bad, but not quite the accuracy we'd like. I read about Bluetooth audio capabilities and it claims to be able to sample at 48k quality or CD quality or close to that. I wanted an inexpensive way to do this. I bought a generic Jensen Bluetooth stereo receiver for about $15, then all Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 3 year guarantee
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
