Perfect. - Tools and equipment

Easy to install, good replacement for the burnt block. The updated charger works very well. Camper use, same brand as old unit, new model.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • operating speed

Works perfectly. good for jumpers, chargers and portable power supplies

Prevents batteries from being destroyed by the original inverter that only offers strong charging. I run my camper all year round and this makes my batteries virtually maintenance free. Charges a dead battery, then turns into a battery charger when the battery is fully charged.

Best secret: keep your charger

I've been using and installing IOTA for 15 years. Work and test a setup from over 10 years ago and still run like a champ. Very happy with this product. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Good but not great

Better than original equipment

The charger/inverter in my RV was not keeping the battery charged with all the lights on. At first I thought the battery was dead because it was 4 years old so I replaced it with a larger marine/RV battery but the new battery didn't stay charged. I then replaced the original charger/inverter with an IOTA DLS-45/IQ4 and that solved my dead battery issue.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not safe

Used as an extra charger on my boat

I bought this in addition to the 20Amp charger that came factory installed on my boat. When I'm plugged in or docked, I want to be able to quickly charge my home's battery while the generator set is running. If I run this charger and the factory charger in parallel, I can get 65A. If I run the generator set for about an hour and turn on the water heater at the same time, I get hot water and can top up my house bank. I could never do it in a reasonable amount of time with just a factory…

LOVE IT! CALM! CALM! CALM!

Many chargers, such as B. the Noco models have this depressingly loud fan that hums when the charger is running. In this unit, the fan will NOT run when not in use. The fan kicks in slowly when needed, and then only gets louder when there's too much heat. In fact, the fan is properly temperature controlled. And a fan is a real fan that moves air and doesn't use its full power to make a buzzing sound. Otherwise, it charges quickly. Used it to charge two Trojan T105 golf cart batteries in a solar

Almost Straight Fit - Tight Enough

The IOTA DLS-45/IQ4 replaced the existing converter in my 2006 Fleetwood Gearbox 220FB toy dump truck. The old converter still worked, but it didn't have the intelligence that the IOTA converter has. With the onboard generator running, it didn't charge as quickly as I expected from two Trojan T-105 6V GC batteries. I rarely camp where there is shore power, so the charge from the generator should be good (if the solar charge isn't enough). IOTA is approaching where the old converter was. The…

Here's what it does

I'm not a battery expert. I'm a camper on wheels who wanted to quickly charge a pair of T-105 lead-acid batteries (in series). The IOTA DLS-45/IQ4 doesn't tell you exactly what it's doing, it just does it. You can buy a model without the IQ4 Smart Charger, but if you can't control your battery during charging and know exactly what you want, you may not want to switch terminals on the voltage control key to control charging. There's a blinking LED on the IQ4 that can help you determine the…
