Great tool for boaters with canvas covers.

My husband loves this instrument and it has been on his wish list for a long time. We gave it to him for Father's Day and he has used it twice in less than 4 weeks. Not only will this help you detach the canvas without damaging it, but it will also help you snap it back into place. Last season he had to work hard to get the canvas back on the boat so he could keep it over the winter. This will make this job much easier.

The best since sliced bread!

This is a genius tool! A few years ago my husband and I made clear vinyl sheets for our back porch railing. We wanted to use it for a few more months before winter comes. We used nautical fasteners/fasteners to attach the panels around the perimeter of the porch. The panels were very difficult to snap into place. My fingers hurt so bad and my hands hurt like Dickens. This handy little tool allows you to slide the clasp over the end, pull the fabric over the clasp and fasten it. It's easy and…

Great tool for protecting my boat cover

When I remove my boat cover I have to undo dozens of latches. At the same time, the buttons manually begin to unravel the material of the canvas to which they are attached. Over time, these latches will break off to the point of tearing the canvas. Proper use of this tool completely eliminates this problem. I don't use it to tie them down, but I'll never unhook them without this handy tool. Because I separate the boat while it's in the water, I know I'll no doubt throw it in the lake even if…

The tool really works. I'm used to getting sick.

Tool really works. My hands hurt every time I put boat covers on. Now it's much easier. It would be better if they moved the hole in the handle a bit higher - sometimes it gets in the way when I put the tool on the latch to put the lids back on. I'll probably buy another one so others can help without hurting my hands. I bought another one for my first assistant to help with the covers. One thing to note is that when removing the cover you have to be very careful not to get the tool under the…

Tool Ironwood Pacific Top Snapper

This item is essential for removing the tarpaulin without damaging it. Simply slide the tool under the cover around the latch and gently tilt the tool to release the latch - no stress on the canvas or the latch. Good size handle, easy to use. Wrap the cord around your wrist to prevent the instrument from falling, especially in water! It's a good idea to add a floating keychain to this thing in case you drop it - it doesn't float. An expensive tool but worth it compared to latch and canvas…

This is VERY USEFUL when installing an Eisenglass case from the inside.

I confess I was skeptical about this tool and bought it purely on recommendation. Now I have to admit that doubting it was wrong. This makes attaching the latches a lot easier and as an added bonus allows me to attach the latches from the inside with the other end of the tool. This is VERY USEFUL when installing the Eisenglass hull from inside the boat. Some have complained about the price and I understand their point to a degree, but the tool is well made and should last a lifetime if not…
