Printed Labels to Match Power Tool Parts and Accessories

The holes are the right size but the labels are printed on one side and die cut on the other. The die-cut side is difficult to see without painting over the die-cut lines, and the painted side may be scratched. I covered mine with several clear coats for maximum protection. A working product but not the quality I was hoping for.

Think before you buy.

When I first looked at the packaging I thought it was a good thickness of metal. The packaging looks legible with white lettering and a black background. When I opened the package, I soon saw that the white numbers remained on the package and were removed from the black metal caliber. I came here to see the same reviews and the same problem. It's not worth it, the back is embossed, but it's uncomfortable to read, as is the landscape position.

Hard to read stamp, white letters peeling off

I usually like Irwin products but not this one. The inscription is embossed on one side but is difficult to read because of the black ink. The white side is easy to read, but the writing can easily be erased with a fingernail. If it detaches so easily when I take it out of the box, it doesn't last for years as one would expect from a tool like this. and expects white letters, it should be 1 star.

The packaging peels off the product's ink marks when opened

Disappointed with the plastic packaging which peels off ink from the front of the product when opened. Just as the others were confronted. Luckily the measurements are stamped on the other side of the jig, but still. This can easily be solved by using a different labeling method during production or simply adding a small amount of lubricant to the product before placing it in a vacuum pack. I would just buy any other metal gauge on Amazon. Preferably something stamped or laser engraved with…

Easy to read without glasses. There are two. Very satisfied.

CHEAP: less than $8 each. SOLID: steel. By no means flimsy. Like a thick connecting plate. PRECISION: The holes match my Steelex drill bit set and Carrera micrometer exactly. CLEAR: White writing on a black background. VERY CLEAN. Good font size. I don't need my glasses. DURABILITY: White markers are not worn or chipped. In addition, all markings are engraved on the back! Used two of these Irwin drill jigs for 18 months. One stands on a workbench or in a box with other drilling tools. The other

Better, but not perfect

I have great respect for Irwin tools and have high hopes for this tool. I have a few plastic gauges but they tend to get less accurate with repeated use due to wear on the hole sizes. I like this sensor because it's metal so it won't have the same wear and tear problem over time. My only complaint is that the hole sizes are marked with paint that tends to rub off, making it difficult to determine the size. On the opposite side, the dimensions are marked by raised numbers, but like the surface…

Sleek and highly functional design

Just received an Irwin calibration machine and have been using it for a day going through a bunch of bits. I really like the design and functionality. The design is delicate as the holes for each drill bit size are slightly larger than the actual drill bit size. The bit will not fit in a smaller hole but will easily fit the right size. If the holes were made by simply drilling through the panel with a true size drill bit, the holes may be too narrow. The plate arrived bent due to rough handling

Not impressive for drill

Pros: o Thick steel o Easy to read high contrast white lettering on black background Cons: o Fairly duplicate information suggests it was made in the USA and not o White lettering is already peeling , straight out of the box o The stamp on the back is inconsistent and difficult to read I wish I had paid more attention before ordering. I saw a "customer question" about the country of manufacture, and the answer I saw was "Made in the USA". The sensor itself doesn't list the country of…

White markings are virtually useless

Not much to say about that. This is a piece of sheet metal with a series of holes of different sizes. You put the bit in the smallest hole it will go through and that tells you the size. Easy. It's thick enough to be thrown. The hole sizes seem to be pretty accurate. The only real complaint is the white letters on one side. I'm in my 50's and my eyesight isn't the same anymore. The contrast of white on black is the easiest to read. However, when I looked at it one day, I noticed that some of…
