Complete garbage! for car mounts

Won't stick to my kayak's smooth plastic. I can stick it on the track and in 10 minutes the GPS is on his side! In my opinion - complete nonsense!

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Damaged

Ideal for Oregon 600 series GPS.

Works great. Also included is a lanyard and carabiner. I use it when I'm out with my Oregon 600. It's easier than traveling with a Garmin Nuvi.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good enough for car mounts

Ordered this mount without finding other reviews online. It connects to my GPSMAP 62st with a trunk mount, but won't snap into place. It seems that the dimensions of this device are not entirely correct.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Doubtful

Well made GPS mount

Good product. That worked well for us. It held the Oregon 450 firmly in place. It stayed on the windshield for 4 days. We traveled through Nevada and Death Valley. Even when driving over the bumpy dirt roads of Death Valley, the GPS stayed in place.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not the best

Compatible with Garmin InReach Mini

I took a chance and bought it because it was cheap. My InReach Mini plugs in and is compatible with the mount. However, it is a tight fit. It's clear he's made for it, but he's holding onto it very firmly. I suspect that with prolonged use it will loosen the fit a little and make it easier to slide in and out of the mount.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Not sure

Not suitable for Garmin eTrex series.

If the description says the item will fit your Garmin eTrex GPS then it should fit without the modifications made by other reviewers. I was hoping for an efficient, reliable, tethered GPS mount for my kayak. What I have is a mount that is so far out of spec that it can't be used. The width of the rail on this device is 21.16 mm, the width of the receiver on the GPS device is 27.68 mm, not even close (photo). I have not skimmed it, sent it back.

Pros
  • Top
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

The GPSMAP 6x series will NOT work with an external antenna boss.

Bought with high expectations but was completely disappointed. While the base mount attaches well to my GPS, suction cups will NOT attach to the window in a way that allows the GPS to be read from the driver's seat. The angle of the windshield on ALL MY CARS causes the GPSMAP64 antenna to hit the window and CANNOT be adjusted from there so I can see it. I suspect the OREGON/MONTANA series etc. will work fine WITHOUT the protruding antenna, but for my use this is becoming more and more…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Updates available

Cheap junk, useful for GPS, finders and accessories

The production quality control of this fake is clearly poor. Spine mounts for Garmin devices equipped with them have the same dimensions as the accessory spine mount. It seems that some people are a good fit while many others have serious problems. The one I received falls into the latter category. When I first attached my InReach Mini to this mount it didn't seat properly and when I attempted to remove it the cheap plastic part caught on my device and could only be removed with a heat gun and…
