Installation wasn't that bad. I split my 1" galvanized and spliced with PVC. We had a bad rotten egg smell coming from the well water and that solved the problem.

I installed the filter fairly easily, but after a few hours of work I noticed water leaks from the inlet and outlet threads. I left a message on the phone number provided and Sean contacted me the next morning. He agreed to send me a new main unit along with the recommended pressure regulator. We've had the filter for a few weeks now. So far, so good. The water pressure does not change. The taste of the water hasn't changed, probably because we already had a filter on the sink faucet. We bought the iSpring filter primarily to remove the debris that got into the wash filter. We are happy with our filter so far. My mechanically savvy husband installed it with no problem once we got the right fittings.

I should have done this a long time ago. This is a great filter. The water no longer smells like a swimming pool. It doesn't smell or taste like chlorine at all. I have to start by saying that I got this to complement my 3 speed machine which I also bought. My water is very unpleasant so I wanted some extra filtration. So why 4 stars? Well, the bracket removes that star. This is not the same size as the 3 unit mount. In other words, if you try to mount it in line with another device like I did, you'll find that the bracket sticks out too much. After installation, a noticeable difference in taste and smell! I can't speak of longevity, but from day one it fulfills everything I hoped it would. We have city water and I liked the idea that this filter filters both double and triple filters but has double the activated carbon filtration of a double filter.
