Great display, but the documentation is wrong.

These little displays are great! FYI to anyone trying to implement them, the documentation is wrong. I am using them with an Arduino Nano V3, so the SDA pin is A4 and SCL is A5. For I2C, in the code I've seen, the I2C address is documented as 0x3D. That is not right. It didn't work on my Nano. Using an I2C scanner, the correct address for me was 0x3C:display.begin(SSD1306_SWITCHCAPVCC, 0x3C); Once I figure it out, it's kinda like a champ!

Nice little simple but clear display!

Wanted something cheap to connect to Raspberry Pi Zeros for a simple sensor output. Getting started was very easy and worked great with the "Adafruit_Python_SSD1306" library. The quality will definitely improve if you comment out the 128x64 line and use it (e.g. "disp=Adafruit_SSD1306.SSD1306_128_64(rst=RST)") instead of the default 128x32. The only other preparatory step was to enable the i2c interface with the raspi-config tool, which isn't really necessary, but I also changed the i2c speed…

    • I'm worried about this

I bought these thinking I could replace the oval mounting hole model I use in my FatShark FPV goggles but other than that they are smaller and have a different circuit board design than the original ones , they crashed when starting the Arduino script Examples of typing, scrolling, adding text, etc. All crashed at the same moment, which forced me to find the script and fix it. I still don't know why they fall. I have not used them in my glasses and will keep them for myself because they came in

Nice displays but be careful with installation.

be careful when assembling, they are very fragile! I broke two of these when a protruding 3D printing artifact shattered the unsupported glass section circled in the photo, breaking one or more of the markings. At first I thought I had a broken screen, but realized it was entirely my fault. Be careful and you shouldn't have any problems. Considering that, these are really good displays - I've just ordered another set to replace the broken ones. I wouldn't do it if I didn't really like the…
