🔪 HENCKELS Statement 12-pc Kitchen Knife Set: Chef’s Knife, Steak Knife Set, Bread Knife, Sharpener, Block - Light Brown Review

The 12 piece knife set arrived on time and looks very good. Quality construction that doesn't seem to fall apart, each knife has been individually boxed for consumer protection. The knife block is a bit small for my taste, but I can say that it will serve my kitchen for many years to come. I am happy with my purchase.

Bought this set 4 months ago. When I received them the edges were razor sharp. Now all the blades are dull and I'm just inside the house. I thought it would be a great deal but now I need to find a knife sharpener and hopefully I can get the blades sharp again. I expected more from Henkel knives. A puree knife won't cut even a lime without crushing it. The rest is just stupid. Luckily I didn't get rid of the old Henkle set I had before.

Original review: The knife set has not been used but arrived early and appears to be as described. I love the color of the block and look forward to trying it out tonight when I make dinner. Will update after I use the set. Updated review: Knives have rust spots after just a few uses (see photo) We only hand wash them. Strongly disappointed! 😞 Most likely they won't last long, which is very disappointing, especially considering the cost.

Not a bad price. I've had real Henkels before, I bought them when I was in cooking school. They cost over $600 for an even smaller set. They're stamped, of course, not forged, but that's nice because they're a lot lighter. No, these aren't the handles you're probably familiar with, but the price should tell you that. They cost almost the same as Rachel Ray's set at Walmart. For an affordable set of knife blocks I find they look very nice and are sharp. What else would you like?

This is a reputable brand and the price of this set is much cheaper compared to other retailers on Amazon. I wanted a light block of wood and grew up wearing Henckels so it was kind of a throwback. Fits well in the hand and is sharp. Steak knives are of the best quality. The balance is excellent. But the other knives in the set aren't as heavy as I would like them to be. they're not fragile, they're thin, if that makes sense. Excellent knives, they hold their blades very well and are sharp enough, unlike even my pocket knives which I bought for everyday work and always have to sharpen first. easier to maneuver with a very comfortable grip. The back of the chef knives was a bit raw when I received them, so they have sharp corners from production, but that's not a bad thing. Above all, don't pay the price of Zwilling. Obviously these aren't $300+ Germans, but they had no problem with just hand washing and drying them.

I've had these knives for about a year now. I was excited as I own other great Henckels knives and they will replace the base set. Unfortunately they are pretty terrible. They don't stay sharp at all. I have to sharpen them after each use or they won't cut even the softest things. But for normally sharpened blades, a bread knife is somehow worse. Balanced. The carving and chef's knives are balanced about a finger's width behind the blade. This offers superior control and feel as you slice through it all. Overall this is the best knife set I have ever owned and I have tried several. They have a beautiful design, fit perfectly in the hand and easily handle any vegetable / protein / other product. Bought these knives for my husband for Christmas. What a disappointment. Unfortunately, he's really good at grabbing all the boxes and shoving them in the trash before we can decide if we like something or should return it. I would return it if I could, but without the packaging. That's the bad thing - the knives are light and not very balanced.
