This is my second active hub, first from this manufacturer. The first died after a few years, so I chose a different source. So far this has worked without any problems.

NI Nice and thin, sits on my desk behind my computer and gives me more than enough space to connect. Great purchase, I'm glad I got it.

This caused my external drives to randomly eject on my iMac. Everything is connected correctly, including the power supply. I contacted support today and will let you know if I get a reply with a solution. At the same time, I think I need to buy another brand. J5 was a waste of my money. Very insecure. DO NOT BUY.

I put 2 chains in series and they work fine since I bought them. I can tell you this can come in handy for anyone using a powered USB hub: when overloaded with power-hungry accessories and losing its own power supply, the ports with unpowered accessories will burn out. This is what happens on your computer when you try to use a powered external drive without it plugged in, or the same with a non-powered USB port. I bought the first one for my laptop and then the second one for my desktop (so I don't have to fumble under and behind my desk to access ports) in my home office. I needed and enjoy using it with multiple external drives and with Logitech gear (including those that require unifying and non-unifying repeaters), etc.

This USB device does what it's designed to do, and does it very well! So far it has worked without any problems, which is very pleasing! Good product!

This is the only USB hub that works reliably with the ASUS ROG STRIX Z-390E gaming motherboard. Works well, I have 2. Works and if you want you can use 1 of the ports as a fast charge port.
