Excellent life jacket! I ordered this for my mini long haired dachshund who tries hard but is a poor swimmer. My dog's vest arrived this afternoon. The quality looks decent. I have the large, although I'm pretty sure I ordered the XL. The packaging says the Large fits dogs up to 85lbs, but my 75lb German Shepherd barely fits in it. Like most people, we had a hard time choosing the right size. We followed people's advice and rounded up the weight. Our Chihuahua is 19 inches but only weighs 10 pounds so we went the small size. It is located at the top of the strap and at the bottom of the weight. It fits but feels tight around her front legs as the abdominal flap rests directly on her shoulders. Just got this jacket for my 45lb mixed girl who can't swim very well. I ordered the large after trying to fit the medium one at the store and found that the medium barely fit around her neck and the back seemed short for her body. As long as it fits really well I can buckle the buckles around her chest and the neoprene flaps don't feel too big for her, the velcro fits snugly (the velcro lies perfectly on top of itself) before overlapping a lot. I have four dogs (pictured) and my mum has a Sharpei and my grandmother has a German Shepherd. All six dogs range in weight from 45 to 130 pounds and this jacket fits them all perfectly. The only difference between large and extra large is the length of the straps. The actual "jackets" part is the same size (and made out of the same foam and everything else).
