useful book - and lots of photos

This book is several decades old but has wonderful guides, articles and tips. Designer profiles, including some often forgotten ones like Bonnie Cashin. There's even a sample (which can be enlarged) of Ms. Kashin. Threads magazine is excellent and every book they come out with is great. I have referred to this book many times, definitely a good addition to my sewing and design library.

Pros
  • Absolutely Awesome!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Probably my fault but I thought this book would feature haute couture sewing techniques. This is just a selection of articles from Threads Magazine that don't interest me at all. Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Crumpled

And there's a bonus coat pattern by Bonnie Cashin (pages 72-75). The back reads: "Sew jackets and coats with confidence with the sewing techniques and designs from the sewing experts in this collection of articles from Threads…

Pros
  • The Best
Cons
  • The Packaging is Ugly
