Disappointed - exploded after first use

I have a good quality Jaco tire gauge so I love the brand. BUT the quality of this pump is very disappointing. It exploded when I tried to inflate my first tire from 39psi to 45psi. It worked well up to 44psi when I heard a "pop" and smelled a burnt smell. The device turned off completely and could not be switched on again. I was running on AC power so it wasn't the fuse. I've tried the LED lamp etc but nothing worked so now I need to find another pump as I need to inflate all four tires on my…

comes in a nice fabric case with AC connector

JACO makes exactly what I need - a blower to accurately maintain air pressure in tires including spares. A particular tire has a very slow leak that requires a few pounds of pressure every week. It only takes a minute or two to add a few pounds to a tire. After connecting to the power source, I simply set the desired pressure, screw on the connection hose and turn on the power switch. Jaco stops as soon as the tire has reached the desired pressure. The unit looks well made, comes in a nice…

Various little things.

There are so many good reviews here that I don't want to overload them anymore. Here are my points: 1. If you ride a bike, you know that even a 2 or 3 pound loss of pressure will make the bike MUCH harder to pedal over time. If our car tires are properly inflated, it will increase mileage; everyone agrees.3. As cars are increasingly fitted with run-flat tires, which save weight and space over the spare wheel, they are also fitted with low-pressure warning devices. They occur at the worst…

I used it yesterday to air the tires.

Updated Months Later: I purchased the unit a few months ago after failing to inflate my truck tires at a gas station. A week later I told myself I should have saved my money because it would cost MANY dollars to pay $1.50 for refueling at the airport to fund itself. Currently? WORTH EVERY PENNY! Flat tire on the trailer, filled up in the shed! Low air level in my car filled my parking space. Decorate all truck tires, done! The only thing that could improve the situation would be a longer 12v…

UPDATE: BROKE IF I USE IT - LESS THAN THREE YEARS.

UPDATE: I liked this compressor especially its accuracy and speed at 110v. After about 3 years it broke a few weeks ago. I haven't used it that much, maybe 3 times a year on two machines. Tires less than 100pcs. I was filling my friend's truck tire and it started making a strange noise and the pressure wouldn't come out. Now when I shook it, it rumbled like something broke inside. Very disappointed. It was great while it lasted but not too long in my opinion. I will NOT buy a new one, I will…

Jaco to the rescue!

My Little Husky tire inflator died while inflating my SUV tires yesterday afternoon. It wasn't the best inflator because it had one of those snap-on fittings that would often release several pounds of air before you properly snapped it into place. It was also missing some key features that I knew I needed in my new tire inflator. Well, JACO came to the rescue today. Here are the JACO features that I now know are very important: 1) Screw rather than snap the connector in place to maintain a good

Cheesy seems to be the best among air compressors and inflators

I had my doubts when ordering this as I don't think Jaco makes anything quality but the number of good reviews made me buy it to attempt . Unfortunately, the assumption turned out to be correct and I had to ignore the reviews. The storage compartment below without a door is a joke. I basically wanted to run this on AC, and unless EVERYTHING is in the bay there won't be enough glitch current to keep the 12v wire inside. So either everything hangs out, or everything stays in. The 12V cable is…
