I chose this appliance to use with my smoker and use it all the time. It's fast and accurate. I compared it to my neighbor, a much more expensive thermometer, and it showed almost identical readings, about 0.2 degrees difference. That's a great thermometer. The digital screen is easy to read and readings are fast and accurate. It's waterproof and I love that it has a magnetic backing so I can stick it to the fridge or anywhere near the stove which is very useful. The screen also rotates automatically. On the back of the box is a helpful chart showing what temperature different foods should be. Definitely recommend.

It's magnetic so it can be stored on the side of the fridge or simply folded up and stored in a drawer next to the stove.
