Worth the time

Super detailed cross stitch. It took me 2 years and it was worth it. I didn't want to use the cheap felt that came with the kit so I quilted some Christmas fabric and sewed it onto the stocking. To make the cross-stitch portion of the Aida stable, I ironed a piece of the quilted bottom of the t-shirt (fusible lining) before sewing everything together. Threading is fairly cheap, but that's to be expected when buying a kit. I used a marker on the pattern to mark the places I've already stitched…

Pros
  • Made in the USA by Janlynn
Cons
  • Great price

Nice stockings but cheap thread

I would love to give this set 5 stars but honestly the thread is terrible. The pattern is very complex with tons of color transitions so it took me forever to create it. I haven't embroidered in about 20 years and this was my first set going back to crafting. Personally I would say it took around 300 hours. But it dragged on for a few years. I'm sure the work would have gone faster if I hadn't put it off so long between works on it. However, my biggest issue with this kit was how cheap and poor

Pros
  • Quality products used in each set
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
