Not the best, but not the worst either.

Pros: Good light machine, easy to take to class. It has many stitches available, making it interesting for small decorative details. Cons: Frustrated that it can't sew multiple layers of fabric. I tried sewing through a thick layer of batting but the machine skipped stitches and I was very frustrated and disappointed. I have to say I was confused when the instructor mentioned the fact that I had bought a low end machine. I didn't know it was a "cheap" machine when I bought it, I bought this…

So far, so good!

My previous machine was a Brother XL-3750. I find it much stronger, but my concern is that the snapping portion of the presser foot adapter is plastic and doesn't have a release button. So every time I switch feet, I'm a little scared because I'm afraid I'll break something. I recently ordered a third party snap on adapter, it's metal and has a release mechanism and hopefully that makes this machine perfect for me. It's a lot quieter than the ones I had and a lot heavier which means the whole…

Excellent Sewing Machine

Sewing for more than 30 years. First clothes, then blankets. I have had all manual machines. The brands were Singer, Kenmore, Brother, Bernina and now Janome. This is my very first computer controlled car. I am so happy with this purchase. No need to guess stitch length or tension. The machine will do it for you automatically! No presser foot sewing (part of what bribed me!). Needle in position (part of what sold me!) 50 stitches to choose from. Accessories are scarce but of good quality. The…
