I bought this machine because of its Janome name and was hoping for a more powerful machine. I make big bags and almost always have to sew several layers. I also ordered in black but I have found that this is not the best choice. White is much better and helps when your lighting isn't good. The black shaded what I sewed which prompted me to purchase an additional portable lamp to give more light. After owning the car for almost 3 weeks I decided to return it. Fairly small powerful machine

I have been sewing for years but not much industrial sewing. I bought this to add surf bags to our boat bimini. Heavy canvas is sewn with thick thread and heavy sewing needles. I have enough experience with machines that I was able to fix some tension issues I encountered fairly quickly. The tension setting is good. When using it to sew thinner fabrics for a blind liner, I had tension issues, as did some of the other reviewers. Although his machine works great with heavy materials, I will not…

Broke instantly, no maintenance required

Brand new machine. After about half an hour of sewing medium density canvas, during which it worked normally, made a good zigzag stitch, the machine died. And stopped. The flywheel spins in one direction and stops, spins backwards and stops. Tried all controls, not a single bone. The car is broken inside.
