I have been sewing for years but not much industrial sewing. I bought this to add surf bags to our boat bimini. Heavy canvas is sewn with thick thread and heavy sewing needles. I have enough experience with machines that I was able to fix some tension issues I encountered fairly quickly. The tension setting is good. Brand new machine. After about half an hour of sewing medium density canvas, during which it worked normally, made a good zigzag stitch, the machine died. And stopped.
