Brand new machine. After about half an hour of sewing medium density canvas, during which it worked normally, made a good zigzag stitch, the machine died. And stopped. The flywheel spins in one direction and stops, spins backwards and stops. Tried all controls, not a single bone. The car is broken inside. I called my local Janome dealer from Bob's Sewing and Vacuum website in ABQ, New Mexico and a rather hostile employee informed me that they would charge a service fee if I didn't buy it from them, even though they are the only dealer are in town and the new machine still has a year's guarantee. It's almost impossible to contact Janome through their website, which has a contact form that does nothing when you click it, never need to use it as it's a quality machine and not a piece of consumer junk built around to break immediately. Much luck. The Santa Fe dealer said they would do warranty work, which appears to be a favour. Okay I will fix this POS and sell it as soon as possible. Absolutely disgusting.
