Worst experience ever

Originally bought this amp in 2016 and broke down in 2018. Bought in 2018 and broken again. . I've now spent over $400 and countless hours troubleshooting and reinstalling. JBL doesn't even respond to support requests.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

You get what you pay for

As others have said I wouldn't call this a "marine" amp. It is in the cabin of my boat where water does not enter. There is corrosion on the connectors and one of the channels is already dead. It worked fine for 2 years but first I had to buy a higher quality amp. My JBL marine speakers are also falling apart after two years. You get what you pay for I guess.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons

At first it sounded perfect. Then after a few hours I lost the front.

Installed on my pontoon boat to Jlaudio Marine Head Unit. At first it sounded perfect. Then after a few hours my front speakers disappeared. I went to the input adjustment and the input adjustment screw was inserted into the front of the amp. I can no longer adjust the input and I don't know what happened. Only 2 weeks installed and should now be sent back. Well for $129 I guess that's what I get.

Pros
  • Don't waste your time
Cons
  • Seniors

Navy simply means white. waste of money.

Don't waste your money. Navy simply means it costs more. It was only installed on my boat for two seasons and just stopped working. The water never touched the object. And what's even worse are the pathetic warranties that only last a year. Of course, if I produced such an unreliable product, I wouldn't guarantee it either. I go with a spare kicker. My jeep had a non-navy kicker for 10 years. The thing kept getting wet. Still works. If I could give zero stars I would.

Pros
  • beautiful thing
Cons
  • Not everything is as good as it promises

Died 2 years later: Marine Amplifier

Used to slide a pair of 6.5 inch two way speakers into a boat. We used the booster intermittently at best, maybe once or twice a month. The sound is good, but maybe a bit heavy in the mids. The amp died after just over 2 years of use. When switched on, the lights hardly flicker. Connections checked, battery charged. It just unexpectedly expired in the middle of a day's fishing. Hopefully these new Bluetooth boosters will last a little longer. It works without a cable.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • No Insurance
