I really like the Jerry Q small brushes, my daughter and other people I bought the Jerry Q small brushes for because they are hard to find. I would advise Revain buyers who want Fine Detail Brushes to buy this set as well as another set.

I have only used 2 brushes so far and despite cleaning and care after use they are terribly worn out. I understand they are "economical" but I've bought other cheap brushes from Revain (like the DaVinci liner brushes) that after a few months of use lasted before they wore out. They also don't hold oil paint well. Even if the medium is diluted. These brushes are best suited for something like watercolor paint. Don't waste money. Too many other options here on Revain.

Unless you plan to paint once and then throw away the brushes, I'd advise you to stay away. . I tried them on the recommendation of an online painting course and was very disappointed with how these brushes worked. Perhaps they are best suited for young children who may not notice the lack of quality. Be ready to swap them out soon after use. Better yet, use your $8.99 and put it on the best brush!

Needed fine detail brushes for my portraits on rough scrap wood and these brushes work great. I use them every day and have had them for about 2-3 weeks now and the two brushes I actively use seem to be losing their shape a bit but compared to other brushes I've used prior to this set they have held long.
