Not worth the money

The switch in the box broke after 2 months and 3 days. The bike was done by a professional and I paid $200 for an inspection. The bike is correctly assembled. part is defective. There is no durability from this particular part installation. I want to return the money. The derailleur arm is bent and the B-Link that connects to the derailleur bracket is partially broken. I want my money back. Very unhappy.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgradable

Great price, simple, reliable.

I have installed this transmission in my Surly Bridge Club (which I built to run the Continental Divide) and so far it has been fantastic. Once I got it set up and indexed properly, I had no trouble switching. In combination with the 34-tooth sprocket, I master every climb with relative ease. Solid Shimano components and even the budget cassette is good and reliable. Highly recommended!

  • Annual Trial

Really wide range - cycling

I bought this cassette to replace an 11-34T cassette. Great weight for what it is. First I tried it without an extension cord. Didn't work on my Diamondback Atroz. I had to install an extension to remove the 46 tooth cog. Not a big fan of the bottom hanging switch but haven't had any issues with it so far. Everything shifts well and I didn't have a single broken chain. I might try the 11-42T just to see if I can remove the extension, but sometimes I really liked the 46T.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

I installed this group and spent over 6 hours getting it to shift smoothly. FINALLY figured out two problems I had with it. Hope this helps others! 1) You don't need a JGbike derailleur hanger extender to remove a 1x9 40T cassette! As others have pointed out, the included hanger is junk and twists under pressure. Install the derailleur directly to your bike's suspension. 2) Install a longer B-bolt to adjust the derailleur to be closer to the larger cog. I got an M4 x 25 screw from a local…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember

Overall I'm happy with this kit, although I think the shifter doesn't match the derailleur. After some time working on the setting (with the Bog Blue Book at hand). I got as close as I could to getting the toggle right, but in some cases it takes two clicks to toggle up or down. BUT during my test ride the extra teeth on the rear sprockets were immediately noticeable and worked very well. After learning that it took me two clicks to shift in most cases, shifting became a breeze. As this is my…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
