Great price and quality product.

I've found that square pans without a raised pan are hard to find. I was happy to find this pan which was very affordable. I use this pan daily and am very happy with the heat distribution and the ease of cleaning. Would buy this cast iron brand again anytime.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Poor

The cooking surface is very rough.

Because the hob is very rough, it is difficult to keep it clean. I chose to return this item the same day I received it without trying it on. It was going to be a gift and I thought I'd give someone something of little use. On the plus side, the pan is heavy cast iron, which others might like.

Big purchase - kitchen and dining room

Couldn't find the house anywhere. I stopped there. I had a house that I left in the house we moved out of. This pan has a smoother finish than Lodge. However, I used an orbital sander to knock down the tabs and seasoned them in the oven 4 times. Looks like he's ready to go. The cast seems perfect. At least it's as good as the lodge. I'm happy

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • For old

Will rust if not lubricated!

Good thick frying pan but rusted in the middle after first use. I hand washed but the center is rough to the touch and not flavored with oil! I only use induction burners and not sure if this will cause the center to heat up and burn off the spice leaving a trusty bare spot. I still use it and just oil it in it every time after washing and before cooking.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Bad set

It's unlike any other cast iron skillet I've owned

I've had cast iron skillets for over 50 years, but this one is so rough everything except the bacon sticks. I am extremely disappointed in him. I would buy the lodge if I could find them but they are sold out everywhere. I seasoned it, left it in the oven for a few hours, but the rough surface makes everything sticky. Very bad pan.

Working but RUSTY

We needed an alternative to Teflon as it has been linked to cancer etc. It distributes heat well and gets the job done. The reason for the three stars is that the bottom turned orange after the first two uses. This is the result of moisture acting on cast iron. That doesn't happen internally yet. (Hopefully not) However, when I clean the bottom of the pan, my sponge picks up any metal residue from whatever reaction is going on there. I'm still trying to figure out if cast iron is any healthier…
