Lost the original charger for my Fenix 3. Bought this as a replacement. It works fine and charges my watch but the watch has to face up or the charger won't hold it. I should have returned it but now I live with its flaws.

I lost my original charger when I moved house. After searching everywhere I found Revain and was looking for a replacement charger. When I received it I immediately liked the design which is a cradle as opposed to the spring loaded charger that came from Garmin. He charged my watch in no time! That's a great deal for the money! I highly recommend it.

I actually only bought this because I needed a new strap and it was the same price as the straps alone. Works well and is easier to use than the standard Garmin charger. Just keep in mind that my fenix 3's screen doesn't show charging like the OEM does. But it loads without problems. Thought it wasn't working until I left it on overnight and it 100% came off.

When I received it I found it didn't fit my Fenix 3HR. I was able to fix this by using a Forstner bit to drill part of a 5/8" hole in the plastic - deep enough to make a cutout for the heart rate sensor. Problem solved. If you don't have a Forstner bit, you can probably use an Exacto knife to do it gently.

Like the other charger I bought before, this dock charges my Fenix 3 watch. Also, the clock can sync with my computer, which other brand chargers don't. Also, I like the positive click interface connected with no moving parts. I've used this charger several times over the past month (I'm moving between houses and still use the original charger elsewhere) and it has worked perfectly every time.

Works great with Fenix 3 (non-HR, original). However, it's not compatible with one-piece straps that cover the back of the watch - you can have a custom strap if you have a model without a heart rate monitor. So to charge the Fenix 3 in this charger you have to remove the full strap, although it should be fully compatible with "two half" straps - in any case I was planning to order a new strap soon. I was glad this charging cable fits my Garmin Fenix 3. I don't have an HR function on my watch so it wasn't a problem. I've had this watch on my desk for 2 years now and I was using another Garmin that died the other day and I decided to find a way to charge my old Fenix instead of spending the bucks straight away on a new watch second. . Luckily this cable charges and syncs and my old Fenix is back from the dead. Hooray! Happy surprise!
