These magnetic door locks are well made and have enough hold for doors that are not too heavy. Easy to install and set up. They are quite attractive and I think they should hold up well. After my first purchase I bought two more sets.

I needed a latch for the sliding barn door to my bedroom. I have cats that can open the sliding door so sometimes I wanted to lock it. I also needed a latch to be able to open from the inside and outside. It was what I needed. It has enough magnet to keep it closed and easy for me to open and cats can't open it.

I used three of them equally spaced to hold a double door in place so two cats with very capable paws couldn't use them to move the door to another part of the house face another alpha cat who bans the resulting cat fight. Tried several other magnetic locks without success before attempting this. When properly adjusted and using the correct number of magnets, this can result in a secure, cat-proof closure. Just make sure the magnets are fully engaged or it's your fault it doesn't work.

Due to the fact that I have used magnetic latches on other cabinets and never found a style I liked, these caught my attention as something different. Thinking they would do a great job I gave them a chance and am always satisfied. Few people will realize that they are not originally for the cell.
