I didn't like the consistency of the texture. Too thick to apply, even painful to rub face without lots of water. Another thing about using referral is that like all other oil cleansing products, it turns into a milky color when washed off with water, but that's just not the case. I have used this product for several months and even ordered it again for a refill. When I first tried it I had been using soap cleansers my whole life and in my 40's I wanted to try something to moisturize my skin rather than replace it after it had dried from the soap. This product is great because my skin felt soft and hydrated after each use. It takes a long time since I only use two pumps for each wash. This oily cleanser is really effective at removing make-up and is gentle on the skin.

I love all JM products. Didn't want to try the cleansing oil, we're assuming it's slippery and greasy. no It spreads like you would expect an oil to, but has a thick consistency like honey when it touches your skin. Once it gets on the skin, I wet my fingertips to spread and soothe the skin. Removes all my makeup. I'm so glad I tried it. I'm 48 and didn't want harsh chemical cleaners. I haven't had any breakouts and can't imagine switching to another product. Thank you Josi!

I really like this product. I read other reviews, it's clear they didn't read instructions. As for the reaction, it's not the product's fault. I apply 2 pumps to wet hands and rub them together. The product gets really warm in the palms. Then apply to damp face. Continue in circular motions for 30-45 seconds. If it seems dry, mostly not thick, keep adding more and more warm water. It shouldn't tighten the skin at all. Post everything in and around your face. Feels incredible. I use this product

This detergent is cheaper on the manufacturer's website. I learned this the hard way. Application: Apply 3-4 drops to a dry face. Do not do that. The oil is very, very sticky and doesn't spread easily. The best way to use it is by slightly wetting your face and hands and spreading it lightly on your hands to warm it THEN apply to your face and massage gently. within 30 seconds or so. This is a great cleaner. I use many of Josie's products and this is another one that I really like. Cleans without drying out the skin. It is best to make sure your face is damp, pour some water in your hand and add a few pumps of the cleanser, wipe it all together and then apply to your face. Some reviews say the cleanser is like putting honey on your face. You are using it incorrectly. Skin looks great after using this cleanser followed by Josie's milk and oil. Great combo!

This oil is sticky and very difficult to use. It never became the "cleansing milk" it advertises. (I've used other cleansing oils that turn milky when you add water). It gets very warm when I add water and it doesn't rinse or clean very well. It also tastes really bad when you put it in your mouth. I should have read the other bad reviews because I am experiencing what they wrote about. I think I received an old expired product or a defective bottle. To return.
