I bought this clay specifically for science class because it was supposed to be oil based (as advertised on the website). This was not the case, resulting in significant melting every time water was applied to it. Because of this it didn't work in some of our experiments and also caused a big mess. I didn't find the tone particularly pliable either, which was also frustrating.

Media could not be loaded. my kids liked it. Me too, our only complaint even for my six year old daughter is that it's a bit harsh in texture and not easy to handle. With a little help, they had a lot of fun and enjoyed themselves for a while. I think it was a bit pricey but for the variety of colors and quantity it's worth it. There is no bad odor or stain like any other clay that requires cleaning after use as it moisturizes any surface you use.

This product is pretty terrible. I mean it's great for making art projects; my 6 year old loves it. But it never dries out like other clay products which, once dry, turn into a work of art and can be played with. He greases and stains his nails, our floor when a piece falls off the table, the furniture, clothes - I don't know how many clothes have been ruined - because it won't come off his nails no matter how much we scrub.
