As a tenant, the first thing that strikes me is a neglected sink aerator. I always find that they are made of minerals or bacteria that can make you sick. I usually sanitize them, rinse and reinstall them but due to the high mineral content where I live I replaced them to make sure my apartment is 9 years old. Unfortunately, unless it's broken, maintenance won't replace it, so I've learned to make my own.

These aerators work great. It was a simple replacement of all of our faucets. We have noticed an increase in flow from using the green aerators that came with some of our faucets. The price paid is good; especially since they are sold by special order at local hardware stores. I have found these aerators to be easy to disassemble and clean when needed.
