nice to have a vent

Installed on two tanks with fuel oil. The reservoirs were used but empty so when drilling the holes I used an air compressor with a blowgun stuck in the spout hole. I wrapped it in a clean rag to prevent backflow as I blew air into the reservoir and the hole. No particles entered but flew out as I drilled. I used a step drill which seemed to work fine, I drilled a little at a time to check until the vents popped open with some effort. I filled the containers and tipped them on their side, no…

Fill up on gas again!

Drill a 1/2" hole, plug it in and live the happy life we lived in the 90's before the government got their hands on the canister and tried to make it better . It helps a lot, even with silly spring-loaded safety canisters. I don't know if it will leak because it's a vent and it's at the top of my can where there's no gas. I don't know why all these people are complaining and they are stuck. Hole on top not back, do not overfill and do not store jars on their side or upside down. You push in a…

After installing these deflectors, the gas will flow much better!

I bought some gas cans to fill my boat (because there are no water stations near me). Unfortunately, I bought units without vents, so it took a very long time to empty. Holding heavy 6 gallon gas cans over the side of my boat for a long time was no fun at all. These vent caps were very easy to install after drilling the appropriate hole in the jars and work great to allow for easy venting and therefore much faster pouring. Be careful where you mount them, too low and fuel will slosh all the way

Pros
  • JSP Brand Universal Fuel Cans, Large Yellow Vent Cap ~ Packed of 10
Cons
  • Operating Speed

These seals and vents are so-so. The vent cover is only moderately secure when pressed (closed), not very secure. The edges and recesses are not large enough to "click" the lock in more securely. The plastic isn't very soft either, so even with the recommended 31/64 drill bit (1/64" smaller than the 1/2" diameter of these gaskets). ), the gasket is not good if it is not glued in place. Unfortunately, almost no glue is resistant to gasoline. RTV Oil Resistant Silicone is moderately gasoline…

Pros
  • Suitable for both plastic and metal fuel tanks. hole ventilation.
Cons
  • Doubtful
