Description of Jumbo Canvas Training Dummy Natural

Canvas dummies are great training tools for sporting dogs, both young and adult; not meant to be used as a dog chew toy. Weighted for easy throwing, they simulate actual game size and weight. The heavy duty canvas material holds game scent better than plastic dummies. These versatile and durable dummies float, making them great for land or water. Puppy dummies are made for young hunting dogs who are just learning the ropes measuring 2.25"W X 8.5"L, while regular dummies measure 2.75"W X 12"L.

Love this for my senior dogs

Love this for my senior dogs description and size does not match what we received. We have a bigger one. It's definitely not a puppy. He is twice the size of my real puppy. Also for those who say it broke within ten minutes of playing, this is for learning, it's not exactly a 'toy', it's not meant to be bitten hard by a dog and played with to be drawn. This is to teach the dog to fetch.

wrong size - dogs

I have given this a 3 as I cannot confirm the quality/durability of the product myself as it is unopened and not suitable for my small dog. I ordered a Puppy size (Puppy and Regular were the only sizes listed on the page) but received a Jumbo size. After reading some comments on customer photos, someone ordered 2 jumbo and received 2 puppy sizes. Obviously there must be a problem with the description. I opted for a refund rather than replacing the same item for fear of ending up with a…

Terrible quality, tore it up on day one

The first time we played with it our German Shorthaired Pointer dog tore it to shreds. Exactly what I feared would happen to this mannequin. Our dog has a soft mouth, has been hunting for many years and is not at all destructive. The damage was done literally by running back to me with it in his mouth. I bought this to replace an old mannequin that we have been using for years. This one was *free* and took longer than this one! Extremely disappointed. I'm hesitant to buy anything from SportDog…

Harder than others!

I was having trouble getting hold of canvas baits so decided to give these a try. I have a 65lb tank that normally hunts and recovers 30-40 yards. I usually throw him 30-40 or even 50 times a day. Also, they jump like crazy. Don't drop dead on the floor to add some fun. Long rope is good. Defects? I think I'm an adult size and it's like throwing a summer sausage on a string. Too heavy for me to throw at the cycle rate I'm doing, my wrists are tired after today and honestly I'd probably buy a…

I have a border collie who needs a job. one .

I have a border collie who needs a job. A job when we get a newspaper (300 feet). By the time I got this cool thing, he would take the newspaper out of the box and carry it inside, stopping to chew and shake it a bit along the way, leaving us a shredded newspaper. I'm guessing he's trying to get it out of the plastic bag they put it in (it's raining lightly here in the Pacific Northwest). I started making him wait until I got the newspaper and then I pulled out this cool thing that was wrapped…

does not fade for electronic training collars

I took it outside to play with my dog. Left it in the backyard after the game. After two days all the paint was washed off. It was bright orange when we received it, but now it looks off-white. If you pick it up you can see the orange color in the folded part at the seam but apparently the sun has bleached out the rest of the color. - Remember I'm in New Hampshire and it was March - not much sunshine here yet. It's made for outdoor play, you'd think the color could last more than a few days in…
