These M5 hex bolts appear to be chrome plated and were the perfect length for my old 1990's mountain bikes. Helped make a rebuilt 95% black Specialized hard rock that looks like new again. (Everything had to be rebuilt including the hub, both derailleurs, new bottom bracket shells, bearing balls and front cones). Pretty cheap, the right shape and finish of the head, shiny. Good. Arrived in a zipped anti-static mylar bag.

First of all, the goods are of excellent quality. Stainless steel and they seem to be holding up. The only problem I had was that without knowing what "M5" was, I didn't realize that the hardware on them is smaller than the rest of the hex bolt hardware on my bikes. . Trust me the water bottle mounting bolts on these should be "M7" as they are slightly larger and use the same wrench as the derailleur cable etc bolts on the bike. Excellent fit for my new Dahon folding bike which I noticed a few days ago is missing a screw on the left rear luggage rack. I didn't think it would fit at first because I tried to insert it manually initially, but you will need a hex key/wrench to install the screw.
