As a welder I had problems with goggles fogging up. This element prevents fogging. Note, however, that while it won't fog up on the goggles, water (sweat) will still accumulate if there is sufficient humidity/wet without ventilation. As stated in another review. apply (max bb size, don't apply too much) wipe vigorously/thoroughly with a cloth (toilet works) then wipe thoroughly with a clean cloth or cloth (I had to switch to a clean spot of cloth 2 or 3 times on each lens ).
