Shouldn't have used it right away. I noticed that the return window is now closed when I plugged it in, the DVD part doesn't work. The message on the screen says hard drive failure in all my movies I've tried. The DVD portion was just what I needed as my old pad came out on this site. vhs now works perfectly on both of my computers. Is there a way to get my money back. I've never had a bad product from the Amazon people and now I'm a little hesitant to buy it. 08.03.2018

About half a year later I had the same problems as other buyers - the DVD player freezes. Sometimes it restarts, sometimes not. I sent an email to the support team but only got a message that my warranty has expired. There must be some systemic issue with how JVC is bundling them - can't believe they don't know that. Anyway, I've given up using it as a DVD player and am looking for a new one. Certainly I will never buy anything from JVC again.

I have bought THREE of these in the last two years. at least two of them are from Revain. At first they worked fine, but after a while DVDs started to get stuck on them. Strangely, I have absolutely no problem playing music CDs on the same drives. DVD freezing has happened to all of them, but worse on the device I've used the most.
