Bluetooth works great

When I start the car for the first time, the Bluetooth connection works fine. As soon as I stop the machine and restart it, the device pauses and stops playing. I will use a bluetooth speaker. I've since found this to be an issue with my phone, even though my phone worked with Bluetooth speakers. I changed the phone and everything works fine. Great base unit!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Almost never

Just a cheap radio that works well

First of all it's not easy to program. It's very confusing even for myself because I've tuned in to a lot of radios. I don't normally buy a JVC, I'm more into the Pioneer/Alpine but the customer wanted it to be cheap. Looks like a nice compact device but only has 2 RCA connectors which is fine for what I needed to do but keep that in mind for other uses.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Good but not great

Great value for money

Bluetooth works great, easy install, fits great in my single din slot. I have a 1999 Jetta, thanks to this head unit I now have state of the art bluetooth audio, voice commands, a microphone and also an easy to fit one. does his job. Bluetooth works fantastic, for $70 I would recommend to anyone looking for a basic single din head unit with reliable BT audio. Does exactly what it says.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • Having trouble

Easy installation! - Car and vehicle electronics

I wish the equalizer was in the old graphic equalizer style where you don't have to visualize the correct equalizer settings. The old style was much more comfortable, even for audiophiles like me. What I liked was the slim fit, all the cables and more fit behind the stereo making it easy to install. The overall sound is predetermined. I have one more component to hook up, a subwoofer, and set it up, and I'll update my review.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Not sure

Nothing fancy!: Marine Electronics

Bought for my work truck to replace my old stereo so I had Bluetooth. JVC has always been a great product and this one is cheap! It is light and weak in power! I only have 2 x 6.5" speakers at the moment and he can barely drive them! I have a couple of 6x9s that I'm replacing on the doors and I doubt they can push them! I would recommend getting an amp too buy if you need power!I'll keep you posted on that!

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Only available in black

This is not power for car and car electronics

I bought it to improve the sound of my system but it doesn't work at all. There is no bass at all with this device and the sound is very tinny. I was replacing an old unamplified Pioneer radio that was always broadcasting low frequencies. I'll wait for the new speakers to arrive and see if that makes a difference, but I doubt it. It says 22 watts RMS, which is more than the 17 my Pioneer had. That alone should have sounded better. Keep shopping

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Long time

Great basic marine electronics stereo

Bought this to replace a cheap Boss head unit. This device seems to be better made than the boss. It was fairly easy to install. The only thing I would give him credit for is that the documentation itself isn't very helpful and the Bluetooth pairing took a few tries before I figured out what it was asking for. The sound quality is good. It is getting loud. There is distortion around maximum volume, so I keep it about 10% below maximum volume to avoid that. It also comes with a standalone…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Expensive

Works well but would like a better description and instructions

I am satisfied with the functionality of the radio. The sound is good, I think it deserves four stars. However I think the description should be MUCH clearer that you need to buy a separate stereo wiring harness specific to your car and that a separate steering wheel control interface (ASWC-1) is needed if you want the steering wheel control to work. The stereo wiring harness was $20 from AutoZone, which was reasonable (and I didn't have a choice). You also need to buy wire butt connectors…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Compatibility
