Excellent knife. fits folding hunting knife

This is a Ka-Bar so how could you go wrong. It has a strong, very sharp blade. I also bought a plastic case, but in many ways I prefer the leather case that this particular version comes with. I actually use this as an EDC sometimes and it's illegal to carry around in my state. Hangs right under my shirt so it's not hidden, and the leather sheath is less intimidating in public.

Pros
  • Made in USA
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Just buy it. You will not regret it.

This is a great knife. The price can only cheer. Full Tang is extremely sharp right out of the box and comes with a thick leather sheath. It feels really strong in my hand. The knife feels well balanced. The grip is also excellent. My hand doesn't slip off even when it's wet. The only downside I found is that the knob appears to be plastic. I hope it stands up to use as a hammer. I can't wait to try it out on my annual hike.

Pros
  • Made of powder coated 1095 carbon steel, weight 0.65 lbs, blade 7" and overall length 11.75".
Cons

Made in the USA, great knife and good price

I love anything made in the USA and KA-BAR is definitely one of those things. I have two similar knives (black straight blade and USMC serrated blade). These are great all round knives as they are great for home, camping, hunting, fishing, personal defense, bushcraft, farming etc. However, they're probably not the "best" in either of those categories. (ie bushcraft people will tell you with absolute certainty that there are over 50 other brands that specifically make bushcraft knives and…

AWESOME KNIFE, ADDED SURVIVAL SCISSORS TO MAKE IT SUPER AWESOME

This is one of the best general purpose knives. It's hard, neither short nor long. The thick hardened steel makes it a great tool for working in the field. The blade stays sharp and can be pierced with wood to split it. I keep it in my BOB/camping bag. When I go out I wear it on my belt. I like to have it with me in case I get separated from my bag. For this reason I wanted a sheath to always have at least a whetstone and a lighter with me. I bought a Ky Lake leather case on Etsy to replace the

One Cool Knife - Knives & Tools

This is my first full size KaBar with this design as I already own the short and several other models. This is by far the coolest knife I've ever owned. The knife is perfect. It is perfectly balanced in the middle and the blade and handle are perfectly balanced. The handle is solid and fits comfortably in my XXL hands; The sheath is cool, I prefer leather as I'm a bit dated and prefer a quiet sheath. It smells like natural and new leather, 2 coats of mink fat have softened it a bit. Overall I…

One of the best knives you can buy

Not only is this one of the best knives you can get for the price , it is also one of the best knives there. I wore one of these during my posting to Afghanistan. He was with me in battle and in many difficult situations. And this item passed all the tests. What you need to know: - Excellent steel quality - holds its edge. - Out of the box it is as sharp as it should be. It's sharp enough to shave with. Literally. I did it - the handle is great - the included black leather sheath is very well…

You can't go wrong here.

Excellent American knife. Proud owner of an Ontario SP-1 and now this beautiful Ka-Bar 1211. Both are made in America from 1095 carbon steel, the blades are mostly identical in shape and length, however the Ontario blade feels a little thicker. The fit and finish of the Ka-Bar is slightly better, but the SP-1 costs about twenty dollars less and is just as well made, durable, and comfortable to use. Both nice knives. Ka-Bar wins because of the sheath. It comes with a leather case, at least the…

You can't beat this value for money

This knife offers excellent value for money. It's hard to find a knife of this size other than stainless steel for less than $100 let alone a knife of this quality. This is the same Ka-Bar that the Marines used to fight their way across the Pacific, and according to my grandfather, more Marines trust this knife than their rifle to get home safely. The design was so perfect 75 years ago that it could not be improved. Mine is the same as my grandfather's. The weight, balance, carbon steel blade…

Excellent knife at a very reasonable price

My first Ka-Bar and I am very happy with it. The blade out of the box is more than sharp enough (although not surgically sharp as some people might expect/want) and is evenly sharpened on both sides, making the blade easy to maintain. Cosmetically the knife is 100% smooth with a low gloss black finish on the blade, it is well balanced and fits my hand perfectly. Mine came with a black leather sheath which was initially very tight with a difficult to snap strap but loosens up really well with…
