I've used this solder pad a few times, works great, no complaints. I used it today with a heat gun and found the liner bulging under my component (I used 450 degrees Celsius). I thought the pad was permanently damaged but the bulge is mostly gone and it still appears to be functional although there is a permanent white burn mark on the pad. Update: I've been trying for weeks to deal with warpage caused by the mat rolling up during shipping without success. I never got back from the carrier. I really wish the carpet lay flat but it just won't happen. I haven't even used it yet and probably never will. First review. This rug was shipped rolled up quite tight and was properly warped when it arrived. I've tried everything to fix the distortions but nothing seems to work. I give 5 out of 5 because for the price it works very well, is full of features and generally works as described. One improvement I'd like to see, but would likely increase the cost, is a longer and/or thinner "loop" on the three compartments at the top of the sheet. They work well enough as is, but it requires a bit of wiggling every time to close and stay closed.
