I went through the sizing chart and ordered a 10-12 but it didn't fit my son over the hips. Swapped for 14-16 and with just an inch more fabric I couldn't get them past my ass. I finally got the 18-20 and they fit around the waist but now he looks like he's wearing capris unless I pull them up to the navel which is fine we don't need any plumbing at the school pool .
