This product only worked for less than a year. .

This product only worked for a year. I contacted support several times! They let me update the firmware and within a minute press the reset button, when I told them I had already done it they asked me to do it within 2 minutes! Too bad I will never buy their products.

Give the switches their real names - trust me!

I'm a big fan of this and have come up with a plan to make it easy to remember the name of each fork in Alexa. A string of words like "living room lamp" was confusing for me because sometimes I accidentally missed a word like "room" and my commands didn't work. So in every part of my house, every fork is labeled with a word that has a natural partner. In my living room, one lamp is Stevie and the other is Wonder. The two lamps in my dining room are my grandmother's name or patronymic. And theโ€ฆ

A well-known brand that is worth the money

Last Christmas (2018) I bought my mother universal smart sockets. They were difficult to set up and when she changed her internet router we couldn't get her to reconnect for a long time. This Christmas (2019) I bought her these smart plugs. Wow what a difference. They were so easy to set up and the response time when I say the Alexa light is off seems instant. I bought these for Christmas (2019) for a colleague who has a Google Home and she commented on how easy they are to set up. She said she

Two out of three will NOT connect

I had several Kasa products so I figured this would work. The first connector was very easy to set up, the second took a good 10 minutes to connect, and the third. I'm trying to tie in with that day. It absolutely won't connect to my home network and I've gone through multiple resets, logoffs, etc. Absolutely frustrating as I don't want to return it as I've already set up the first two and already integrated them for my family's home appliances. So I will never buy again and switch to anotherโ€ฆ

Support issues, installation issues

I'm trying to install this on my 2.4G network with other Amazon Alexa devices, Kindles, HP printers, Samsung phones, etc. Many problems. TP-Links phone support is as poor as it gets. They don't know their product - for example they told me to press the reset button on top of the plug - there is no button - the manual says the on/off button is on the right side of the plug. Of course they mean that. You need to install the unique Kasa app and register on your smartphone. There are problems. Theโ€ฆ

This is the first smart plug device I've bought. We have a few timers around the house and an old automatic lighting system, but I wanted to control a few lights on the porch, and since there wasn't an electrical outlet, we looked for alternatives. First we tried one of these inexpensive wireless sockets. Everything worked fine for a while, but sometimes the remote control didn't respond. In other cases, the light turned on or off by itself. We started to wonder if the neighbor had the sameโ€ฆ
