Good but not great

Bought this to drill through the aquarium glass. As soon as I opened it I found an error. It can be seen in the photo at the 3 o'clock position. Despite its small size, it's a diamond blade that cuts glass by friction. It worked but caused a few chips when cutting through the glass and a few less than perfect cuts in the glass, but again it's a hole. The fitting that goes through the hole closes all but one of the tasks I've drilled so far (5 total). If you are looking for a cheap but effective

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Success where it failed

I had to cut two new faucet holes in my Kraus stainless steel sink, also through a thicker support rod. Stainless steel was very strong and shattered things like Milwaukee drill bits, withstood many burrs and abrasive dremel points, etc. It was a tool that survived and eventually got the job done. It took a while (minutes per hole), with lots of slow motion, low pressure, coolant application and reverse motion to cool things down, but it happened. It doesn't matter if it's slow as long as it…

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Damaged

Worked better than I expected!

I have to admit I was a bit hesitant in purchasing this hole saw as it had no reviews and the price seemed too low to be good. I bought it because it didn't require a separate pilot nozzle like the others and was deep enough to go through my DIY marble countertop where others have listed a maximum depth of 1 inch. When I received the Beat, I noticed that the build quality was down. not really hard work but I tried it quickly through a piece of marble. I worked flawlessly! I was very surprised…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model
