In general I would say this lock is exactly what it claims to be. It offers a moderate level of security in a small package - it won't let anyone get away with your laptop and it's easy to carry. It seems solid and well made, but it's a compact item, light and compact, so can be defeated with fairly basic tools. Packaging: The lock was carefully packed, including the lock itself, a short instruction manual and a minimum of packaging.
