KEYESTUDIO ESP8266 WiFi Module can easily give any microcontroller access to your WiFi network. Run out of the box that just simply hook this up to your Arduin device and get about as much WiFi-ability as a WiFi Shield offers. Supports APSD for VoIP applications and Bluetooth co-existance interfaces. Contains a self-calibrated RF allowing it to work under all operating conditions, and requires no external RF parts.

Good WLAN modules and at a good price.

Good WiFi modules at a good price. I rarely have problems with Keyestudio products. These modules work great with Arduino boards. Yes, you can connect them to other devices like the Raspberry Pi 3B, but that's a bit overkill considering they have built-in WiFi modules.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Great ESP01 Modules

I have ordered a few of these modules from China in the past and they are pretty standard equipment there but they seem to be of a higher quality. They are clean, well soldered and great for my purpose of connecting multiple Arduino Mega boards to MQTT and the internet. Note that they are slightly different than programming a typical "Arduino" board, but once you have it it's easy and these devices worked just fine.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • Nothing here

A great addition to the set.

I was working on a project that required the addition of a wireless web server and that helped. Most things will eventually require a web interface, making this module a great resource and a cheap downloadable solution. It is very easy to program and the quality of the chip itself is very good.

Pros
  • sparkles
Cons
  • Some difficulties

This helps me a lot

The DIY project is a very interesting device that is a good Arduino replacement and easy to connect to a wireless network; it can also be programmed in different languages, which is an advantage of the device. The only thing to note is the operating voltage of 3.3 V. All in all, a basic product for hobbyists and manufacturers and absolutely indispensable in your project!

Pros
  • Desktop Barebones
Cons
  • Not sure

Better not to use one so quickly

There is no documentation for this product. When I scoured the internet looking for information, I found incorrect schematics and drivers that didn't apply. I found a driver, WiFiEsp, that actually builds, but I have yet to get it working. I need to listen on a socket and have found problems in the driver so far, but it's still not debugged and not working. If you plan to use them, be prepared to do a lot of digging to find the right information and source code. Additional Note: After working…
