Key fobs are great, not easy to program

Like others, I struggled to get the Subaru into "programming mode". I called wireless car starter locksmiths and installers in my area. Nobody programs key fobs and the retailer is too expensive. Eventually on a whim I tried the steps again but made sure I opened the door FOREVER and it worked! Using door lock/unlock to program wireless remote controls is not bad. Once I got my Forester into programming mode, it was a breeze. I've programmed both fobs and have excellent range for unlocking my…

Will not work with 2010 Subaru Forester

I bought this to have a second FOB for a used 2010 Subaru Forester that I recently bought. The key fob itself appeared to be well constructed and made from quality materials, but when it mattered it didn't lock or open the doors. I have followed both the owner's manual and the manufacturer's instructions on how to program the car to accept the new fob. I programmed FOB into the machine several times and the machine signaled me that I had successfully programmed it. However, it will not work…

The programming is complex and I was about to return the item.

It took me 4 or 5 separate attempts to program this before it worked. I'm not sure what I did wrong on all previous attempts. I was about to return the item when I successfully programmed it. My machine didn't make all the described chirps and buzzes that the internet instructions described. I chalked it up as 2006 and worn well. I can easily put myself in the same position as other reviewers who found the programming problematic. I think for me the most important steps were when to open the…

Robbery Dealers Best Deal

I definitely recommend this cheap option! (Stars removed due to plastic quality/unstable performance). I bought this keychain as my own keychain completely died. I went to my dealer and they charged me $75 for 10 minutes of work and about $100 for the key fob itself. I was able to get a satisfactory replacement myself for a fraction of the price. The plastic is cheaper than other keychains I've had. No problems yet, but I bought a silicone keychain case just in case. The keychain is not very…

$60 for 2 replacement remotes - great deal since both work! The programming instructions posted on your website don't work, and by the way, the programming instructions in my Subaru's owner's manual don't work either. I've spent a lot of time on the internet looking for alternative guides and after trying a few different ones I finally found one that worked. Follow them closely and you'll be fine (although it took 2 tries to succeed) - the remote control has a small sticker with 8 numbers on…
