You'll need to replace the pin

I wasn't expecting to have to replace the button and spring mechanism to make this work. You need to use a punch and a hammer to replace the pin holding the key in place. Be prepared, it's not as easy as it sounds. just be careful This is very handy when your key fob is broken.

Ideal for replacing old, worn out keyrings!

Works great! The only problem is when you try to take your old key and put it in the new one. The metal part is not the same. It fits in the bunch of keys, but cannot be retracted. Not a big problem and the easy fix is to just remove the pin from the new key and old key and then insert the old key into the new one. I recommend watching the video on YouTube to get all the dynamics!

  • Easy setup

Not as described in anti theft

Bought this in September 2020 to replace mine which had the bottom come loose. The description said it would fit my key but it didn't. Due to manufacturing differences, I had to disassemble the metal portion of the key to fit the bottom of my key. This process was pretty easy. The biggest problem I'm currently having with GOB is that the button starts to bulge and fall apart. I would not recommend this key GOB replacement unless you want to replace it again.

Replacement Key Fob

Replacement key fob works just as well as a factory key. It's a pity that there were no instructions for opening the factory key that was glued on. I had to use a bench grinder to cut away the glued seams to remove the control board for use in the new key fob. Since I have power tools, I was able to upgrade to a new key fob. The locksmith asked for $80 just to shorten the key, so I knocked out the stamp and used the same key. Replacing a key fob takes a lot of work, but if you can do the job…

I didn't understand what I bought.

I bought this to replace the one that went AWOL. I paid $48 to have a locksmith cut it. He couldn't program it. I took it to a GM dealership and they told me it couldn't be programmed. The open/close buttons do not work. If you see them there, you might think they are real. The key actually starts the car and opens the door. However, as soon as I use the new key to start the car, the security light on the dash comes on. A GM support rep said he would do it because it's an aftermarket product…

Flip has stopped working

I bought this because the lock button on my GMC key broke. When I got a new key fob, I disassembled my old key fob, transferred the circuit board and key from the old fob to the new one. After putting everything back together, I found that the key no longer fully closes and locks securely (I can open it without using the button, just by shaking the key). It doesn't close either. I didn't give it a star because the lock/unlock buttons work, but this is far from the quality of a standard key fob…

What garbage!

I bought this key fob for my 2011 GMC Terrain for $7.99, put in a brand new Duracel 2032 battery, $10 Laser cutter at GMC dealer, cut to match my other key fob which was in working condition , and then Follow the GMC dealer's instructions for programming the key fob. I couldn't program this key fob. Then I opened the battery compartment to check the battery, maybe swap it out for another one to make sure it wasn't the battery, when I opened the case the blade, spring, pin and another piece of…

Works perfectly! for interior

One of the buttons on my Buick Encore key fob is broken. I thought I could easily replace the key fob until I found out it was glued on. It took some time to open my original keychain and take out the board and key. It was difficult, but it can be done carefully. Do not damage the electronics board. My original Buick key fob has an auto start button, this remote I bought from Revain has that button with the trunk icon. To be honest it doesn't really matter, it still works when I hit autostart…

Didn't want to pay for a new key

The release button on my only original Chevy key fob was completely torn around the edges of the bottom button. As a result, the button kept shifting in my pocket. I really didn't want to pay for a key renewal because it was still working fine. I found this item on Revain and thought why not try it for $12. The only difference with this new key fob is that there is no Chevy logo on it. Big thing. It was very easy to take apart. Just so you know, it holds up great and won't fall apart on its…
