Couldn't assemble it. The parts aren't holding the battery properly while you're trying to install the electronics into the new case. Will it work if I have patients bringing it together? That's a good question. But patients aren't what I'm known for.

Easy disassembly and assembly. To just a little trial and error. Remember to insert the chip, BATTERIES and key before assembly. Fully working for my 2015 Ford Lincoln MKC. The dealer quoted me $300+. So happy with this purchase. Now I have to buy a protective cover so as not to damage it.

I was thinking I'd have to pay $500 for a new key fob when mine broke. I replaced the battery and this shell in it, ordered a protective case and now I'm not worried about it breaking. I just replaced the insides of my old key fob with this one. I didn't even have to use the key that came with it, but it was like a spare key.

The silver stripes are painted on and not real like the OEM. Also, the keys don't give the solid "click" feedback that an OEM key has. I bought it because when I took it apart I broke the plastic part that holds the key together. Everything fits pretty well, but I would pay a little more for better quality. I didn't need any electronic components; only shell.

Read all reviews before buying. I don't know what the fuss is about assembling them. I reused the middle circuit board and the two outer shells just snapped into place. Just watch them fall apart, then reverse the process. I will definitely buy again. The only reason for 4 stars is that the buttons are stiffer than before, but I can live with that for all buttons! I have to say that the first product we received was completely broken. I've never had to give anything back to Revain so I was nervous, but it turned out to be easy. The moment I clicked that I would like to ship a new item, I received a new confirmation email seconds later and the item was shipped the next day. I received a replacement product within 3 days and it was intact. This was for my dad and he was able to install it easily enough and so far everything is working fine.

The last time my trailer broke I went to my local Ford dealership in Novato, California and they charged me $150 to replace it. You never thought that the electronics might be fine. No, the only alternative they offered me was to replace everything. Well this time the fob broke mechanically again but this time I found I could move the electronics from one fob to another. It saved me at least $120. The only difficulty is opening and closing these tricky devices. It's a bit of a learning curve.
