did it work great? Insert the card that came with the keys to be obtained.

Did it work out great? Insert the card that came with the keys to have them cut by local key cutters in the area. It was awesome, quick and affordable. MUCH cheaper than at the dealer. Just make sure YOU make sure the key is the correct key for your vehicle.

Waiting. - Remote Starter

So I bought this for my 2011 Scion and managed to cut a $3 key and I was able to program it to open the doors. However, the car will not start because the car has an "immobilizer". The key cutter charged $120 to get the key in the car's immobilizer, but I think I found another, cheaper way. If it works I will update the review with a higher star rating.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Doubtful

It was great. Programming took me a few tries, but I made it. FYI - my car does NOT have an ignition transponder so it was very easy. You can check that first. If you do, you need a merchant program, if not, you can. BUT, if you have a transponder and just need a lock/unlock function, this will work. Simply cut off the shank of the key.

Pros
  • One year trial

  • Security

We saved $750! Powered by 2012 Scion TC

My son bought a 2012 Scion TC with just one key. Toyota dealers charged him $850 to cut and program 2 lockpicks (and then his servant stopped working). Instead we ordered these 2 lock picks and had an auto mechanic come to our house to cut and program them. He also reprogrammed the buttons. Original service key. It deactivates the immobilizer and the buttons on the remote control are used to unlock/lock the doors. **Note: His original valet key had a small "G" on the key ---- so buy a key with…

Works great on my 2013 Scion

If your key has a 'G' on the base of the blade then this will suit you. I had to buy a J2534 interface to program the key into the car's little brain, install the VX software on my computer, and take the key to the locksmith. There are forums I found to help me program the car key. But now I have a working key and a backup for a fraction of what the retailer charges for a key. The key has been working without problems for 6 months. The only way to distinguish the replacement from my original…

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine
